BMW X5 X3 E46 Secondary Air P0492 P0491 – Diagnosing P0492 P0491 BMW M54

Diagnostic help BMW X3 E83 or BMW X5 equipped with M54 engine with secondary air fault codes P0492 P0491. These codes are often associated with a dislodged connecting vacuum hose on the secondary air injection line which I show in this video. If this vacuum line is not damaged or dislodged then it is best to check the secondary air pump along with the relay for proper function. The easiest way is to use a scan tool to activate the secondary air pump and see whether is activates and works with enough power.
