Corvette C5 No Start Security Light ON

This video is sharing my experience with diagnosing a no start C5 Corvette Security light on. If you have a similar VATS, Passkey or Passlock issue this video will show how I diagnosed and fixed my GM security system. Symptoms I experienced when diagnosing my no start C5 Corvette were: 1) SECURITY or ANTI THEFT is illuminated solid or flashing on the dash. 2) Dash indicator light that looks like a car with a padlock through it is on or flashing. 3) The car is in a no start condition the starter will not turn and everything else in the car will work fine. Security light will be on constantly. 4) The engine will start for a few seconds and then shut down followed by a security light. There are only 15 different VATS values this is the value of the resistor you need to make which has to match the resistance of the pellet on your key. They are as such: Key #1 Resistance Value = 402 Min. Resistance 386 Max 438 Key #2 Resistance Value = 523 Min. Resistance 502 Max 564 Key #3 Resistance Value = 681 Min. Resistance 650 Max 728 Key #4 Resistance Value = 887 Min. Resistance 850 Max 942 Key #5 Resistance Value = 1130 Min. Resistance 1085 Max 1195 Key #6 Resistance Value = 1470 Min. Resistance 1411 Max 1549 Key #7 Resistance Value = 1870 Min. Resistance 1795 Max 1865 Key #8 Resistance Value = 2370 Min. Resistance 2275 Max 2485 Key #9 Resistance Value = 3010 Min. Resistance 2890 Max 3150 Key #10 Resistance Value = 3740 Min. Resistance 3590 Max 3910 Key #11 Resistance Value = 4750 Min. Resistance 4560 Max 4960 Key #12 Resistance Value = 6040 Min.
