How I diagnosed trouble codes P0171 and P0174 on a 2006 Jaguar S-type. As a tip most Jaguar parts are not available immediately, in this case, you can substitute the Jaguar part with a part for a Lincoln LS part number 3W4Z-6767-CA. Most local parts store have Lincoln LS part in stock. If you want to get the original part it is a breather hose, also make sure to order new intake manifold gaskets when doing this job to avoid leaks. Diagnostic tip when working on a Subaru Impreza, Legacy, Forester and Tribeca with a misfire diagnostic trouble code. This Subaru Impreza stored a DTC P0304, the ignition coil was replaced and the spark plug, but the misfire was still present. Typical diagnostic trouble codes associated with this issue, on various Subaru’s with issue are P0301 – P0304 as hard faults. The item searched to fix my issue was, ignition coil connector plug for compatible with Subaru Impreza, Legacy, Forester and Tribeca.
