When changing the battery on a BMW 5 Series E60 or E61, in order for the alternator to work properly. The battery adaptation process must be carried out via software. This video will show you how to reset the service indicator in a Fiat 500 after doing your oil change. The indicator states ‘have engine oil changed’, when performing the reset make sure to not have the car started just the ignition turned on.
This video will help you diagnose code P0171, P2187 and P2279 on an Audi A4 with a 2.0T engine. This may be one cause of your issue but P0171 may refer to a lot of issues. In my case it was a bit easier to diagnose since I could not remove the oil cap while the car was running narrowing down the issue to a crankcase ventilation problem. I replaced the crankcase vent valve and the issue was fixed. It is especially hard to diagnose a P0171 with a generic scanner since in my case when using a dealer level tool the codes were completely different, the stored codes were P2187 – 008583 Bank 1 System too Lean at Idle and P2279 – 008825 Leak in Air Intake System. If you jump start your MINI or BMW your footwell module may have stopped working. Issues commonly associated with a faulty footwell module are, unable to switch off lights, lights not working or headlights always stay on. Other indicators of a faulty footwell module include windows not working, sunroof not working, mirrors not working and central locking system not working or no communication with the OBD2 scanner. This repair applies to BMW models E90, E91, E92, E81, E82, E84, E87, E70, E71, E72 and MINI COOPER models R55, R56, R57, R58, R59, R60, R61.

This video will show you how to reset your oil life indicator on a Honda Civic 2012-2015. The how to reset Honda Civic maintenance required light, fast procedure is; 1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON , the number II position on the ignition. 2. Select “Maintenance Info” using the arrow buttons, then press the “SOURCE” button. 3. Select “Yes” using the +/- buttons, then press “SOURCE” button. The maintenance item code(s) will disappear and the engine oil life will reset to “100”
VW offering a fine combination of self checking and modern aesthetics. Typically associated with sports cars, where gauges are swept to check for proper function of the motors and to make sure limits are calibrated properly, as for the Jetta VW gauges sweep it could be self visual check (different drivers utilize the limits of the cluster different from others) and for a modern look. If your 12 volt socket is not getting power on your VW Tiguan, this is the first place to check. Make sure to perform this with ignition off and the same type and size fuse. This will restore function to your VW Tiguan cigarette lighter. Also make sure that your have no metal or coin caught in the socket as this will blow the fuse again.
