This procedure works for Lexus ES300, Toyota Camry (2003-2006) and Lexus RX 300 (1998-2003). Symptoms similar to a faulty air idle control valve or dirty throttle body on a higher mileage Lexus ES. The car had low idle and would occasionally stall. The procedure took about 15 min to fully relearn the idle, the first 7 minutes I left the car to idle on it’s own. At around 8 minute I started to press the brake pedal a few times and hold for 10 seconds, I did that about 5 times. Afterwards I pressed the gas pedal gently raising the RPM’s to about 2,300 RPM 5 times slowly. After about 14 minutes I put the car in park and let the car idle, I took it on a test drive and the car after 10 minutes regained perfect idle.

How I fixed code P1350 on my Lexus ES with engine 1MZ-FE. This engine layout is common on Toyota Camry (2003-2006) and Lexus RX 300 (1998-2003) diagnosing P1350. After replacing the left camshaft position sensor at cylinder head, the code did not come back after clearing the fault code. While I was diagnosing the issue I realized the sensor was throwing a hard fault since every time I cleared the code, it would return, within 10 seconds of restarting. It is great to soak some of the screws to the intake components as with time they rust and prone to breaking.
