How to reset the Subaru infotainment system if you have issues with the backup camera, screen going blank or freezing, connecting to Apple CarPlay, or not displaying anything. My main problem was with my Subaru backup camera, which the reset fixed. The Subaru Outback had other issues at times CarPlay wouldn’t connect until I reset the unit and updated my apps and software. Ensure that nothing is connected to the infotainment system when performing the reset procedure. Also, ensure your car is not started; just turn the ignition on. Diagnostic tip when working on a Subaru Impreza, Legacy, Forester and Tribeca with a misfire diagnostic trouble code. This Subaru Impreza stored a DTC P0304, the ignition coil was replaced and the spark plug, but the misfire was still present. Typical diagnostic trouble codes associated with this issue, on various Subaru’s with issue are P0301 – P0304 as hard faults. The item searched to fix my issue was, ignition coil connector plug for compatible with Subaru Impreza, Legacy, Forester and Tribeca.
