This video is on how I activated the VW needle sweep on a 2016 VW Jetta. I accessed channel 17 – Instrument, under adaptations, selecting indicator celebration from the drop down, ultimately selecting activate. I did this with a tool that can communicate through the OBD port. In this video I disable the seatbelt chime and indicator on my 2017 VW Jetta. I am using a OBD tool to communicate with module 17- Instruments. Once I accessed the control module I went into coding and proceeded to change the coding to disable the seatbelt chime and indicator on my VW Jetta. In this video I set the speed warning on my VW Tiguan (2008-2016). This is a great feature for the VW Tiguan, it helps in maintaining speed where focusing your eyes on the road is important as much as maintaining speed. This VW speed warning tip has saved me lots of trouble by making me aware when I go too fast, like setting the speed warning to 80 when you will be traveling on the highway, so at least when you go over you are aware.
If you have a Volkswagen Jetta, Passat or Tiguan with a radio that does not power up, this video may help you restore power to your Premium 7 stereo system. In this video I am working on a 2008 VW Passat VR6 with a Premium 7 radio, the battery was changed and the radio stopped powering up. I checked the fuses on the driver’s side inner panel and engine bay fuses before removing the radio. Once all those fuses checked out, I proceeded to remove the radio knowing that the VW Premium 7 radio itself has a 10 amp mini blade fuse in the back of it. Surely, the radio had a blown 10 amp fuse which did not allow it to power up.
This video will demonstrate how to turn off your day time running lights without any modifications on a Volkswagen. In my opinion it is better not to disable the vehicles day time running lights since this is a tremendous safety feature. I personally like to use this while standing in the driveway late night or on the street. This is a great option since it requires no modifications or computer access. This is also great for warm night drive in movie VW Volkswagen daytime running lights being turned off while still have the car running is great to keep the air conditioner on and enjoy the movie.

VW offering a fine combination of self checking and modern aesthetics. Typically associated with sports cars, where gauges are swept to check for proper function of the motors and to make sure limits are calibrated properly, as for the Jetta VW gauges sweep it could be self visual check (different drivers utilize the limits of the cluster different from others) and for a modern look. If your 12 volt socket is not getting power on your VW Tiguan, this is the first place to check. Make sure to perform this with ignition off and the same type and size fuse. This will restore function to your VW Tiguan cigarette lighter. Also make sure that your have no metal or coin caught in the socket as this will blow the fuse again.
