Tag: hood won't open Volkswagen

In this video I share my fix and experience with a VW Volkswagen Tiguan that has a hood that won’t open, due to a deteriorated hood release lever. This is a common latch on VW cars. I have seen a lot of people experience this issue on the VW Tiguan, lubricating the part tends to solve the issue. I did use a random hard flat object to assist me with opening the hood. You may also want to lubricate it with something before closing. Please share your experiences, thanks.
