Lexus ES300 with very low idle after disconnecting the battery. This idle relearn procedure works on Toyota and Lexus with the 1MZ engine experiencing low idle after disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. This procedure works for Lexus ES300, Toyota Camry (2003-2006) and Lexus RX 300 (1998-2003). Symptoms similar to a faulty air idle control valve or dirty throttle body on a higher mileage Lexus ES. The car had low idle and would occasionally stall. The procedure took about 15 min to fully relearn the idle, the first 7 minutes I left the car to idle on it’s own. At around 8 minute I started to press the brake pedal a few times and hold for 10 seconds, I did that about 5 times. Afterwards I pressed the gas pedal gently raising the RPM’s to about 2,300 RPM 5 times slowly. After about 14 minutes I put the car in park and let the car idle, I took it on a test drive and the car after 10 minutes regained perfect idle.
