Diagnostic tip when working on a Subaru Impreza, Legacy, Forester and Tribeca with a misfire diagnostic trouble code. This Subaru Impreza stored a DTC P0304, the ignition coil was replaced and the spark plug, but the misfire was still present. Typical diagnostic trouble codes associated with this issue, on various Subaru’s with issue are P0301 – P0304 as hard faults. The item searched to fix my issue was, ignition coil connector plug for compatible with Subaru Impreza, Legacy, Forester and Tribeca.

I have a 2012 Subaru forester none turbo
I get a p0301-p0304 soft code
Also can get those codes if I floor the gas pedal but they turn off
